The functionality of glass in an industrial application is highly depended on the quality of the frames securing the glass. Or in other words, each attribute of the glass is affected by the frame and its capabilities. A glass acting as a barrier to heat will require a different frame than a glass acting as a barrier to high impact. To maximize the performance of a heat resistant glass, it is imperative to maximize exposure of the glass to the heat. This requires the frame to limit the shadow on the glass to 1/4” or less. Yet, this frame must be able to grip the glass even when fractured. Frames for high impact applications must be able to maintain the glass in the opening while allowing it to flex under pressure of the impact.

MACPHERSON Brand frames are engineered to meet all industrial requirements. Protecting and enhancing the glass from extreme environmental concerns, maximizing safety, visibility and viability of our specialty glass.
